Sweet soft pastel colors were used for this new addition of ribbon beaded bookmark. I love this combination. How I wish I have more variety of beads right now. The more there are the more interesting the bookmarks  would be. :)

It has been a while since I last published anything at this blog. If I am not mistaken, it was in July last year that I last blogged about my ribbon beaded bookmark and now here I am posting another new addition to my  ribbon beaded bookmark collection that my regular customer had requested from me. 

I've been so busy with my handmade cards blog, so much so that I've neglected this bead blog. Oh how I wish I have more time in my hands or perhaps I need to be more organized? Oh well....

Ok, back to the ribbon beaded bookmark! hehe! This is actually an old design. The only thing that is different is the ribbon. She requested that the ribbon be in purple in color. She also requested another color which I will blog about soon. :)

I love this type of double duty ribbon beaded bookmark because it clings on to the book and will never drop out of it whatever happens. So you can be sure not to lose it. :).

To be honest, I haven't been making these ribbon beaded bookmarks in a long long time. So it was a really fun making these again for my customer. :)

Yellow flower beads...

Here it is....the other flower bead I mentioned in my earlier post. It's yellow in color. I matched the yellow flower beads with a couple of yellow pearl and orange tone beads. The soft orange ribbon suits the colors of the beads quite well. I love the simplicity of the design. Not too much of beads on each end of the bookmark. :)

I'm excited to share here my latest ribbon beaded bookmark with everyone! It's a very simple and cute ribbon beaded bookmark with a new type of flower beads that I bought quite a while back. This type of flower beads comes in a variety of colors but I only bought 2 types of colors which the purple and yellow flower beads. I will post the yellow flower beads ribbon beaded bookmark  here soon. 

I've been thinking of how to use this flower bead for quite sometime now. I really wanted to use it to make a beaded bookmark but didn't quite know how to go about using it. In the end I thought of this particular technique whereby you won't be able to see the ends of the ribbon. It's hidden inside the beads itself. Noticed that? Well, I love that! Usually whenever I make ribbon beaded bookmarks, the ends of the bookmarks can be seen therefore I have to make sure the ends are neat and does not fray. But with this new technique I don't have to worry about it fraying at the ends. Love it! Too bad I only have two colors available to make this type of ribbon beaded bookmark. I wish I had more choices though :).

This purple double duty ribbon beaded bookmark a joy to make! Lovely to be placed in my favourite book too :). I'm loving how it great it functions as a bookmark and how pretty it looks as well. It definitely stands out. I'm loving it! :)

This is another one of my double duty handmade ribbon beaded bookmark. It's all yellow and gold themed....although there are a couple of orange colored beads added to it. :) This is a cute bookmark too, with two cute yellow ribbons added at the ends of the bookmark, not to mention the heart shape beads too!

Christmas themed bookmark

This handmade ribbon beaded bookmark was inspired by Christmas colors and ornaments. I used red and green beads as the main colors for this bookmark along with the red and green ribbons too.

This bookmark is a double duty bookmark.....whereby you can use it in two different ways....I especially love the red ribbons at the ends of the bookmark.....so cute! I also added a couple of red heart shape too......therefore this bookmark is suitable to be given to a loved one on Christmas day. :)

I received a request to make a ribbon beaded bookmark that has similar beads and ribbon as the RB002 ribbon beaded bookmark. The difference in this new design is that this particular design is has more function to it. Double duty! It can be placed inside the book, in between the pages and can also be wrapped around the pages so that it won't fall off from the book. Just like RB001 beaded bookmark. Cool huh? It's a trick I learned from some of the beaded bookmark websites.

The length of the bookmark is quite long......it's about 16 inches long, including the length of the beads at the ends of the bookmark. The length of the center of the bookmark is about 12 inches long, which is long enough to fit in any book. :)

Yup....yet another version of RB001. This time around I change the ribbon again to the red with gold lining type. And I arrange the beads of yellow and pink. :)

This is another version of RB001. I changed the color of the ribbon from peach to soft green. Even the beads, I changed it a little with new soft pink plastic pearl and crystal beads.

Flower beads.....

Isn't this sweet!? This is for those who loves the pink colour :) I love flower beads and I tried to use this flower beads for this particular ribbon bookmark. It was kinda hard to tie it up at the ends though. But I love how it turned out.

This handmade ribbon bookmark is based on a 1/8" pink satin ribbon with soft pearl beads, soft pink clear beads and transparent flower beads. The centre of the bookmark measures up to 10 inches long. The measurement can be custom made according to your liking.

Dark blue.....

What can I say.....my favourite colour is blue! And I do adore this bookmark....just because of the colour hehehe! :) It somehow reminds me of the blue kebaya songket that my cousin and her hubby wore on their wedding day :D. It was beautiful! Dark blue with silver patterns on the songket design. So maybe that's how I got inspired to make this blue ribbon beaded bookmark....

This handmade ribbon beaded bookmark is based on a 1/8" blue satin ribbon with silver linings. On each end of the bookmark are arrangements of blue and clear crystal like beads. They are only plastic....but look like crystals hehehe.....cut and shaped like one. The centre of the bookmark is about 10 inches long, suitable for any paperback books.

Clear gold colour heart shape beads! I just love them....I also bought some in clear pink colour, but have not used it yet for making bookmarks. This handmade ribbon beaded bookmark is based on a white satin ribbon with gold thread linings. The centre of the bookmark measures up to 10 inches long. It is suitable for any paperback books.

Soft green with green flowers

I love love love this soft green combination that has some soft pink and white beads in it too. The green flower is just so cute. I got those at a new bead store and if I am not mistaken, they also come in a few more other colours except that the colours are quite limited.

I know that I have been making the bookmarks here that has a centre measurement of 10 inches long for each bookmark. Although they all fit nicely in paperback books however, certain books are longer than others and may require for a slightly longer centre, so therefore I would like to point out here that I do make them longer to satisfy each customer. Some would ask for centres that measures from 10 inches, to 12 inches and even up to 14 inches long. It is all up to each customer's needs. I will make them according to their liking. :) No worries!

Blue ribbon with silver linings

Oh I just love this one! The photo here does not give justice to the real thing! I know I know! I'll just have to take new photos of this next time. But for now these will do. :D Again, I found another interesting looking bead for me to use for my ribbon beaded bookmark. These silver colour beads are oval in shape and has some engraving of flowers on it. So pretty! I just adore it to bits!
