Wordings on bookmark

Kinda excited about this design! Especially since there is wordings involved hehehe.....just simple ones with a short first name and some beads on the ribbon with letters on them and arranged to form words. I bought these beads quite a long time ago but never really done any design with them yet....so with this new idea I can do more designs in future...... :)

It has been a long time since I actually posted new beaded bookmarks designs here. Feels great to be able to do so today. Here are some paper beaded bookmarks I made today inspired by a few of my handmade cards. I used to make my handmade cards with designs like these. I made the wordings as part of the flower and leaves....... :)

This one really stands out simply for it's color! Red and yellow....what a combination! hehehe! But I love how the red color just stand out from afar. :) If you click on the top photo you could see that I layered a red net cloth between the paper.....it's a different approach to my paper bookmark technique. I like to try out new materials every now and then. I do think it worked out just fine for this one. As you can see for this particular bookmark, I decided to use a wider ribbon compared to the smaller ones that I used for this similar design. So, I ended up using only one heart shape bead at the top part of the bookmark.

I simply adore this one! It's would be perfect for a Valentine gift! The front and the back of the paper beaded bookmark has different color papers....one is dark red and the other is white. Both papers are new and very pretty with embossed designs on it, giving them a little texture on the surface.

I have always loved this design because it was inspired by my two dear friends who are the most darling lovebirds I've ever known. :) I would love to make more of this design in other colors beads, paper and layers on the inside of the bookmark itself. As you can see from the original design, I layered the paper with a thin see through organza cloth between the two papers. But here in this new bookmark, I layered it with just another metallic silver paper. It works just as lovely. I love how it shines whenever it hits the light!

I made another rose themed paper beaded bookmark today........with dark red card as the background.....I love dark red colors....so romantic! hehehe......for this one I couldn't get smaller dark red ribbons so I used a wider ribbon with a dark red color to match the rose. I place a simple medium sized bead on top of the bookmark that matches the cream colored paper.

I love rose themes :) Wish I could make them in several colors and designs. This is the same design as the one I made before except that I changed the color. I am loving this color recently hehehe..... :) I even used clear bright pink beads for the ribbons.....so cute!!!

This is another one of my double duty handmade ribbon beaded bookmark. It's all yellow and gold themed....although there are a couple of orange colored beads added to it. :) This is a cute bookmark too, with two cute yellow ribbons added at the ends of the bookmark, not to mention the heart shape beads too!

Christmas themed bookmark

This handmade ribbon beaded bookmark was inspired by Christmas colors and ornaments. I used red and green beads as the main colors for this bookmark along with the red and green ribbons too.

This bookmark is a double duty bookmark.....whereby you can use it in two different ways....I especially love the red ribbons at the ends of the bookmark.....so cute! I also added a couple of red heart shape too......therefore this bookmark is suitable to be given to a loved one on Christmas day. :)

Similar to the black and brown rose design I posted earlier, this one has a lighter shade to it. I made it in cream and brown combination that looks simply elegant as well. With matching brown beads at the ends of the brown ribbons, it gives the bookmark a shine that lasts forever :).

This paper beaded bookmark was inspired by one of my card designs that I made a while back. The design of the rose was hand carved with a craft knife to form the shape of a rose with it's petals and stalk. I adorned the black ribbon with brown and black beads to match the color of the rose. Very simple and elegant looking :)

A bouquet.....

Another request that I received recently for a paper beaded bookmark. Very fancy, very sweet! It's a lot wider and longer than the other paper beaded bookmarks that I have here in my bead blog. The bookmark is approximately 7.5 cm wide and 21 cm long.

My customer was very interested in the Hen Night card I made sometime ago. You can view it here. So the bookmark has the same bouquet that the Hen Night had. I wish I could put in the same laces though, but unfortunately they are all out. So I had to use whatever laces I had available to match the flowers. I really am in love with this bookmark and I hope the receiver will love it too!!! :)

Double duty RB002

I received a request to make a ribbon beaded bookmark that has similar beads and ribbon as the RB002 ribbon beaded bookmark. The difference in this new design is that this particular design is has more function to it. Double duty! It can be placed inside the book, in between the pages and can also be wrapped around the pages so that it won't fall off from the book. Just like RB001 beaded bookmark. Cool huh? It's a trick I learned from some of the beaded bookmark websites.

The length of the bookmark is quite long......it's about 16 inches long, including the length of the beads at the ends of the bookmark. The length of the center of the bookmark is about 12 inches long, which is long enough to fit in any book. :)

Yup....yet another version of RB001. This time around I change the ribbon again to the red with gold lining type. And I arrange the beads of yellow and pink. :)

This is another version of RB001. I changed the color of the ribbon from peach to soft green. Even the beads, I changed it a little with new soft pink plastic pearl and crystal beads.

This is another one of my leaf motif paper beaded bookmark that was inspired by my card design. I love this colour combination very much. Each bookmark has one medium sized bead attached at the top part of the bookmark. These bookmarks are about 5 cm wide by 14.8cm in length. The leaves in motion........flowing, heading towards one direction.....way to the top! This paper beaded bookmark was inspired by one of my card design..... :) You can view the card here. These bookmarks are about 2 inches by 6 inches in length. Each bookmark has a medium sized round yellowish bead attached to it at the top part of the bookmark.
