I'm pretty excited about this bookmark! I love it! It's very simple in design but very elegant too....the silver colour ribbon makes it look so beautiful....and I just love the crystal like beads that match the ribbon.....they are not real crystal though....just looks like one hehehe.....I think this one would be suitable as gift favors for weddings! :)

This beaded bookmark is handmade with opaque white, soft pink and dark pink seed beads with small white flowers and decorative beads to match. The bookmark is based on a nylon string. The whole length of the bookmark is about 14 inches and the measurement for the center area is about 10 inches long. It is suitable for almost any paperback sized books.

I made this new design because the white pearl heart shape beads were all sold out. I replaced it with a round shape white pearl colour beads to match. I also added more decorative beads to the ends of the bookmark to improve the design. :)

Peach satin ribbon with pink and white beads....

You could either use it the conventional way, which is to place the center of the bookmark in between the pages as you can see from the photos above.....OR use it as shown in photos below...

As shown in the photos here, all you have to do when using this doubled ribbon beaded bookmark is to separate it to slip one outside of the cover and one inside the saved pages. Then you slide the big pink decorative bead up to tighten it all up! So, the bookmark won't slip off the book. Cool huh? :)

2 n 1 beaded bookmark! Yes! I found a way of making another type of beaded bookmark that is made using ribbons. The cool thing about it is that there are two ways of using it. This bookmark is handmade with a 1/8" wide soft peach satin ribbon, pink star bead and some decorative beads that are transparent, white and soft pink in colour. It is suitable for almost any book size and the center of the bookmark is about 11 inches long. The whole length of the bookmark is about 16 inches.

This design has two shiny bronze colour heart shape beads on it! :) I simply adore this one because of the heart shape beads. They are not easy for me to find and has the colour I simply love so much. This bookmark is light weight, compared to the other two because there isn't many big heavy beads. It is handmade with nylon based string with the length of about 14 inches. The center of the bookmark measures about 10 inches long. It is suitable for almost any book size.

This new design is handmade and is similar to BB020 in colours...it has opaque red, shiny yellow and clear orange seed beads with some decorative beads to match. For the BB020 design, I used clear yellow bugle beads but for this one I am using shiny yellow seed beads. The yellow seed beads really stands out and brightens up the bookmark. :) This bookmark is based on a nylon string and is about 14 inches in length. The center area of the bookmark is about 10 inches long. It is suitable for almost any book size.

For fans of blue colours....this might be the bookmark for you! :) The original design I did earlier was a bit different than the new one I made today. For BB011, it has dark blue seed beads in the bead arrangements and the ends of the bookmark were not done in a similar arrangement too. So, after giving a lot of thought in the design, I've decided that it should not have any dark blue seed bead in it because somehow it doesn't make the bookmark look soft and sweet. I wanted it too have cool, soft colours on it. It is handmade and has a mixture of soft blue, clear blue and clear silver seed beads with some decorative beads to match.The bookmark is based on a nylon string and is suitable for almost any book size. The whole length of the bookmark is about 14 inches long and the measurement for the center area is about 10 inches long.

This sweet soft pastel colour combination is definitely a favourite amongst my customers because of the heart shape beads in it. The pearl like colour and texture are close to their hearts :). The first one I did of this design has many heart shape beads on it....6 of them....but due to the current situation, I am not able to make the bookmark with the same amount of heart shape beads on it anymore. Even the colours depends on stock availability. So I had to improvise and use what is available in stores. I find that it is quite an adventure to search for new beads or even for the ones that I have seen before....it is really quite thrilling to go on a search for them. This new venture of mine has taken a step further and has taken me places I never thought I would visit. I am definitely learning more and more each day and improving my skills as much as I can to give the best for my customers. The joy I see in their eyes when they purchase my art work is definitely rewarding for me. Nothing can compete to that! :)

I have combined two colours that suits each other very well.....orange and cream....for those who love orange and bright colours, this design would be the one for you. :) The arrangement of beads in this design itself is very simple....nothing too fancy or complicated....I tried to repeat the arrangements of beads on both ends to form a design.

I had an idea to do this design last night, way late last night around 12 midnight hehehe.....I guess that's the time when all the ideas comes pouring in. I have done an apple green and dark pink combination beaded bookmark before....but this one, especially for the full beaded type has added opaque white seed beads on it. I especially love the big beads at the end of the beaded bookmark....the clear apple green colour with a white round shape on the inside just looks so pretty hehehe! I wanted to use glass beads for this design like the one I have done before for BB022, but as usual the beads are out of stock, so I had to find some other beads that would match....I can't really say that the other design is better than this one as all the designs are special in their own way....lol :)

This is a remake of my BB024 design. The design had heart shape beads on each end of the beaded bookmark. Unfortunately since the beads are out of stock, and could not be found in any other bead store, I had to replace them with this sweet tear drop shape soft pink pearl color beads. It looks really sweet and compliments the design quite well. I love the new look! :)

A new blog....

I am starting on a new blog today that is more focused on beads and anything that I can imagine I could make using this lovely material. I have always been in love with beads for as long as I can remember, but only since last year that I really went deeper into the world of beads. Much thanks to my friend who lives far away in US who has given me so much knowledge of about them and got me addicted and obsessed with it :) . I will of course be posting all of my previous collections of bead work that I have done so far this year in this blog. I have been posting most of my bead collections in my other blog and I do find that it is no longer suitable to do so as it is a blog for handmade greeting cards and I do not wish to mix the two in one blog. Hence this blog is created today....I am so excited to see how this blog will soon become and progress. Wish me luck! :)
